One of the biggest associations in BC means a few hundred adults behind the bench, in the penalty box, at the scorer's table and in the office. LMHA runs on volunteers. There's a job for every schedule and none of them need you to have played.
On the ice, behind the bench, or nowhere near a rink. Every one of these counts toward your family's volunteer bond.
Most neededYou don't need to have played rep. You need to show up, be organized, and like kids. LMHA pays for your certification, pairs new coaches with a development lead, and runs the practice plans for U7 to U11 so you're never starting from a blank whiteboard.
One per teamThe person who actually runs the team. Schedules, tournament entries, the group chat, the jersey bag. The coach coaches because the manager manages.
One per teamThe certified adult on the bench for injuries and equipment. Hockey Canada Safety Program course, one evening online, covered by LMHA.
Any scheduleScorekeeping, penalty box, timekeeping, tournament check-in, Santa Skate, photo day, the 50/50 table. Pick a shift, do a shift.
Every family posts a volunteer bond at registration. Put in your hours during the season and it's never cashed. It's how a community association keeps fees where they are.
Log my hoursTell us the division and whether you want to head coach or assist. Rep head coaches are interviewed by the division director.

2 hoursCoach 1 for U7 to U9, Coach 2 for U11 and up. In person over a weekend or online plus an ice session.
Before Dec 1Required for U15 and U18 rep. Development 1 for A1 and A2 head coaches. Our development leads mentor you through the first season.
Rep onlyCertifications are tracked in the Hockey Canada Registry. Team officials must be fully certified before the team's first league game.
Players 13 and up can certify as on-ice officials. LMHA runs the clinic, covers the course fee and the striped jersey, and assigns you to U7 to U13 games close to home. It's the best paying job a fourteen year old can get, and it teaches the rules better than any coach can.
Board roles, staff positions and the coaching spots still open for 2026-27.
Reach thousands of Langley families at five rinks and five tournaments a season. Association, tournament and team packages, all with a real logo on a real banner.
LMHA is governed by a volunteer board elected at the AGM each spring, plus appointed division managers and coordinators. If you've got a skill the association needs, there's a seat.
